Like many g-shocks, it's solar powered and has atomic timekeeping but this one has a stainless steel scrrwback case like the original g-shocks which improves durability and water resistance. I'd like to add that I very much appreciate the fantastic deal with this seller as well. I got a brand new watch with tags for the price of a used one of these! The shipping was great too, it arrived about 2 weeks early!
