I love that the phone itself was only $.01; that is why I bought it. It was new and that is nice, however, the seller had to send me additional batteries because it would not hold a charge. It does work a little better now but not a whole lot. It will usually only hold a charge for a few hours. Also, sometimes I cannot send a text message which I find very annoying because I pay $15.00 a month for unlimited text. Sometimes my phone won't ring either; it goes directly to voicemail and rings only if the caller leaves a message. All in all my new phone is junk but it only cost a penny so I guess you get what you pay for. -Just wanted to update my review. It turns out there was absolutely nothing wrong with this phone other than the seller. The phone worked fine but it took a while to figure out the problem. After 2 months, approximately $40 in easy edge charges, and several calls to US Cellular, they confirmed that an outsider was in fact using my phone as a modem. Since US Cellular no longer has share talk, if this feature is not turned off on the phone; it can be hacked into and used as a modem. This runs up your easy edge charges, minutes, uses battery life, and causes general interuption to overall phone use. Since the problem was discovered the phone has worked fine. It is not a flashy phone but if you are looking for a basic phone to make basic calls; this one is fine.Read full review
Seems to be a good phone. Nothing special which is what I wanted for my husband who is handicapped in technology. It does have a speed talk feature which is annoying because my husband keeps hitting the button and turning it on. This turns on the speaker phone application also which makes it hard to talk. It also seems like the battery dies quickly on this phone. My hubby does travel out of the area which means the phone is on roam a lot. Other than those two things, it seems like a really nice phone for the price I paid. This was a backup phone because my hubby already destroyed two new phones before our contract was up.
I bought the LG UX 4750 when my OLD Nokia finally bit the dust. I do not need a phone to surf the web, take pictures, or check email. I want a phone to make calls and handle abuse well. If that is what you are looking for, this is a good replacement phone. It's cheap. It weighs about the same as my old Nokia and feels solid. It has a speaker phone option that is very easily accessible. Perhaps may too accessible. The key pad is a little small compared with my old phone and that has taken me some time to get used to. The sound quality is excellent.
I needed a prepaid phone to call Argentina and the phone is what I needed and load ringers too!!!! I still don't know a call back # but I knew I was just mainly doing the calls to my friend anyway so I guess that is not important!!! It is cool the way it provides a # since it's 000 123 1234 and you can't call it back so caller ID won't work for the phone and you can also provide it with another carrier!!!!
I sure didn't pay a penny, more like $35. But the phone works fine, holds a charge, etc. No problems with it in several months, I would buy a phone from ebay again because I hate having to be in a contract and this keeps me out of one. I think you have to pay a little to get a good phone, if it is a penny there is a reason.
