    Well-made, robust, pricey

    I used the Max-Lok connection adapter to connect 23" x 1 1/2 and 36" x 1 1/4 masonry bits to a 63" extension for drilling under a 7' porch. The setup ripped through 3 concrete foundation walls with ease. Just remember not to drill too deep all at once if dirt is involved, as things tend to get stuck with the extension. Dirt and debris would pile up behind the coupling against the foundation walls, so I had to pull/hammer hard to get it out. It took the abuse with nary a scratch, let alone any damage. Backing the rig out repeatedly so the bit could eject the dirt made things run smoothly.

    Onerpriced coupler

    I often replace broken fence posts, and have to break out 2 sides of the old concrete which can be 16-24" deep. All I need is an adapter fpr SDS-Max to SDS-Max say 12" long to get deep enough with a 12-18" chisel bit.. Instead I had to buy both a 12" extension AND this coupler which runs $150-$250. I've had it a couple weeks and haven't broken or jammed it yet, but my hopes aren't high.

    Good product

    Worked good and allows shorter cheaper bits to be used. After heavy use in hot weather it heated up faster than the hot drill bit and it expanded and seized up and I had to let it cool before I could change out to another bit.

    hideous price

    this tool is required to extend ads max it is also a Massive rip off way way way way way way way too much money if i used it daily i would still feel screwed YES IT WORKS , no I'm not gonna be happy to have one hundred and fifty five dollars invested in this thirty dollar device

    No lock on connector. Vibrates loose and bit separates - requiring retrieval and cleaning. When it works, it is OK. However, it unlocks every few minutes. For an accessory that costs almost as much as the SDS-Max hammer itself, unacceptable.
