The X/Y configuration enables the SVM to capture the true ambience of the recording space, while still offering a high level of rear rejection and low noise. Powered by a standard 9v battery, the SVM also offers a power status LED, a high pass filter switch and pad to match most cameras imputs. The SVM incorporates a custom shock mount system and comes completed with a high level wind filter.

    Good but I'd suggest getting the newer model.

    I personally don't like how the mic has a wobbly 4 pole connection to the mount that makes the entire mic move around. Terrible isolation idea. I'm going to try and use spacers to make it stand straight up. Sound quality is ok.
