    Good, But wind is not long lasting

    I really like this unit, but I am on my 3rd wind unit in less than 6 years. All the other instruments are still working fine. This is an old discontinued unit, but I like it better than the newer ones. It does require a RS-232 to USB converter to get it to talk to your computer. Works really well with the free Cumulus whether program.

    Exactly what I hoped for

    You'd only want this if you already had a weather station setup and your main console failed after more than 15 years of service. This "new" console picked up all the sensors and talked to the computer with no more effort on my part than plugging it in. Very happy.

    An open box new/old Wx station

    Wx station WMR968 was new out of the box, however it was made many years ago. The batteries on some of the units had Corroded the contact points, however do to the age of the product, I suspected I would have to clean it up. This is not my first WMR968. I purchased the "new" one for spare parts and to replace the anemometer. With some effort, all units work and I am happy with the result.

    Data good, Backlight bad

    It receives data from my sensors ok, but the back light is "wonky," and kind of dims then gets brighter over and over again.
