    Best reference book around for this topic

    Excellent reference book for those uninitiated in a technical electronic/acoustic background but want to learn or understand the workings of modern PA and recording techniques. Use this book to settle arguments, prove a point, or simply out geek anyone else in the band! Illustrations/diagrams are excellent; content extremely thorough but not overwhelming; print and layout make this an easy read anytime/anywhere.

    Yamaha sound reinforcement manual

    I've taught college in Live Sound, beginning through advanced recording techniques. This manual is what I used to teach these classes. It has scientific, electronic theories, as it applies to each subject. This is written for the experienced and the beginners as well. I highly recommend this manual.
