Product Information

Based on the 1997 arcade game, G. Darius on PlayStation introduces 3D polygonal graphics to Taito's side-scrolling shooter series. Instead of blasting futuristic vessels in the far reaches of space, you must obliterate mechanical fish, wasps, squid, and other odd creatures across blue skies, tropical vistas, and other vibrant locales. The game features 15 levels spread across five worlds and a total of 28 bosses to vanquish. One of the title's distinguishing features is the ability to collect enemies by ensnaring them in "capture balls" fired from your vessel. <br>Captured enemies can then be used as power-ups. You can also build and save a powerful blast of energy called an "alpha beam," which can be used to counter certain boss attacks. Save your solo progress to memory card or team-up with a friend for cooperative play.

    The best SHMUPS for the PS1, PS2

    At least this game has a beginner mode which allows you to get familiar with the hundreds of things shooting at you. Very difficult even on the easy setting, but not impossible. Takes a lot of time. Graphics are incredible and the sounds are as good as any arcade. Very fun game, they don't make them like this any more. Much easier to play than Einhander.

    Hard To Find Game

    Game is awesome with nice strategy and story line. This game is getting hard to find and rare, so if you come by one buy it if you can. Even though the game is a classic PlayStation 1, it is still worth getting.

    One of the best maybe the best shooter on ps must own for fans of the genre you can get it cheaper on Taito collection 2 but ps version is more playable.
