Fastners work great
Easy to use...keeps boards straight and parrell(if your deck is built square)....if face nailing wood decking, you can vary the spacing an 1/8" here and there to compensate for deck framing that is out of square....an inch out of square is hardly noticeable with wood as over a width of 15 or more boards, you can fudge and get it back on track.....with composite and these fastners that keep a consisent 3/16" gap, no such choice.....they make installing edge grooved decking a simple task. With this system, the installer can install grooved edge p,anking and these fastners to check spacing.....a top quality deck framer abd builder that's familiar with these fastners, can frame the deck to the exact size so only full width planks are used....I wasn't as fortunate when I replaced wood with ...
