    Best kitchen tool in 50 years

    I've had my original Cuisinart for 50 years. I use it every day. Someday it will quit, so I bought the base replacement for "just in case". It works great. I am a happy buyer and user. It grinds dry egg shells for garden fertilizer, stirs cake mix, stirs heavy batter for brownies. Not recommended for crushing ice cubes: that cracked one of the bowls. It shreds and slices tons of carrots in a jiffy. Great for mixing a LOT of hard boiled egg yolks for HB egg fillings for parties. With this and a paring knife, my kitchen is well stocked.

    Replacement for prior Cuisinart

    While preparing banana bread for a family get-together in early January unfortunately the batter was too thick for our 30-year-old Cuisinart of the same model and the motor overheated and quit running. For a replacement I looked for the Japanese manufactured one and found this one. When I set it up I tested it and it runs. I have not done any food prep since then but it seems to work fine.

    Perfect Replacement!

    So glad I was able to find this replacement part. Mine was accidentally broken and I was heartsick. The processor is 34 years old and still works like a charm. I LOVE it. I also ordered a back up cover. My cover actually had a crack but was still useful. They don't make 'em like this anymore. I am so glad to have one of the older models of Cuisinart food processors.

    Powerhouse that is built to last

    This is a powerhouse built in the 1980's. They do not make them like this anymore. Solid and built to last. I had my first one from my grandmother and only needed a replacement because I cracked the plastic covering on the motor. mine was 40 years old, used numerous times a week and still works. That is why I bought a new motor and not a "new" food processor, Nothing like this one.
