    It took me a minute to figure out how to route the wires but after straightening it out and learning the mic. Positioning it about right .Now after listening to my music & now after viewing a movie I can say that I am happy with all around sound.Unfortunately I am using my old 5.1 surround speakers and my amped.sub quit working same time my old receiver did .But with the speakers I have with a little 8” sub this receiver has a really clean crisp sound .As for condition I would recommend it.

    Good value but not terribly powerful

    It is a good value on sale however it is nothing like more expensive home theater receivers, it is fairly basic but does a decent job and has ok features for this price point. My biggest complaint is that it is rated at 145 watts per channel, if it somehow manages to produce that much it would have to be its absolute peak instantaneous power for maybe a nanosecond not RMS which is the only wattage rating that has any meaning. Even though it is underpowered I would recommend this as long as you get it for a good price (much less than retail) and are not trying to drive speakers very hard.

    My old Sony home theater receiver was still working well after many years, but I needed a HDMI connection for a new LG Class B Series OLED 4K TV in order to connect external speakers. The new Sony device works as well as I expected. Puts out a great sound!

    Room Filling Sound

    This is my second time buying this receiver. When calibration is finished you feel like you're there. Whether a game or concert or your favorite movie you're brought right in to the middle of the action. I find myself turning around to find audience members behind me or flinching from the cries of the soldiers and orcs during battle. Add a powerful subwoofer and your system is complete.

    Easy to use

    Instructions are very clear as to setup and use - I have 2 HDMI inputs and i output to a Optoma (4K) Projector (ceiling mounted). The inputs are from either a DVD/BluRay player or a STB connected to cable receiving free/channels. Sound output is to a 5.1 speaker configuration.
