I took off the rear wheel so I could reach with extra leverage and screw the adapter on the tightest, screwing it on so tight the adapter gave in a little bit. So it was definitely maxed out. The kick-stand itself is great, except that it springs out so hard it still shakes itself out of bolted position. It if goes inward, it goes in toward the spokes = dangerous. Only negative.
