    It's Casablanca, one of the most entertaining Hollywood classic ever watch it, any way you can, beg, borrow or steal it but you have to watch it asap

    A shimmering Jewel of Classic Hollywood that combines fine performances from exceptional actors such as Humphrey Bogard, Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid, and director Michael Curtiz. The costumes and sets are sumptuous, the black and white cinematography is stunning to the extent that each and every frame could be placed upon a wall as a work of art itself. Although made 79 years ago the script, much written on the run, somehow, holds together beautifully and with major characters deep moral ambiguities are remarkably still fresh and modern as are the performances. Watch it at least once in your life you deserve it.

    Great movie, not great DVD.

    No problem with the movie itself at all. It is wonderful. The problem is that the production of the DVD does not reach the same high standard. Adjusting the ratio of the movie height to width to fit the modern TV widescreens is off, as is common to many remakes to DVD. As a result, all the actors are proportionally a little shorter and a little wider than in life. Big is not always better.

    I was very impressed by the quality and features of this very reasonably priced DVD set. The picture and sound quality is excellent. There are lots of language and subtitle options, and the second DVD has lots of extra material and insights that will appeal to fans of this classic movie. I can thoroughly recommend.
