    Just as fast as newer i5's in terms of gaming!

    Installed this is a gaming PC that I built for my fiance and it works great! Paired with a RX 570 it loads games just as fast as my system with a OC 7600!! We play slot of 2st person shooters and I noticed that her loading screen is up only about 1 second longer then mine. I never realized how powerful these old chips can still be until I built her system.

    Unit works as advertised...

    Bit of an issue with the Asus MB...wouldn't boot to BIOS. Turns out that for this CPU you need to make sure the bios is at the most recent version. The MB would boot with a much slower CPU so upgraded the BIOS then off to the races. This CPU works perfectly now.

    amazing

    although i had some installation due to some thermal past on the contact pads, after cleaning it up it worked wonders. games went from choppy and unstable fps's to 60 + in bf1 at med to high settings.
