      great product but unstable connectivity

      Pros: the only usb port available on my Surface pro 4 is free to use; well designed, really like to use; looks like battery lasts long; Cons: unstable connectivity (it take time to connect Bluetooth device to SP4 and connection can be lost spontaneously after 15minutes of not using - looks like this is issue of soft or hardware on my SP4); don't work in bios (who needs it?); not sensitive enough (it's hard to work in Paint); blue light is constantly blinking which rises concerns about longevity of battery life (don't know exactly - only use it for 1 month); and battery is not rechargeable (or should it be?). But in conclusion, i really like those microsoft products - surface keyboard and mouth silver. It's all about compromises and many of "cons" i listed above are side effects of ...

      Nice mouse that gets the job done.

      Fits my hand well (and I have a big hand), is responsive, and can be used with either hand. With the right transmitter it has great range. I purchased a Bluetooth 4.0 external transmitter and USB 3.0 cable to get it up on the desktop in order to not impede the signal. I use it with a desktop computer, but it will will work with a laptop with built in Bluetooth or a Bluetooth transmitter plugged into a USB port.

      One of the best Mice

      I have variety of mice collection and this is the second best after the Microsoft Designer mouse. I have used Microsoft Sculpt, Arc Touch, Bluetooth mice. Both the Microsoft designer and Surface Mice are light weight and comfortable and batteries are giving longer juice. If you prefer square over round, designer is the one otherwise Surface Mouse is the best one.

      Surface mouse a great portable option

      When you are using a Surface or Surface Pro, you are interested in portability and making a small footprint on your desk. The Surface mouse is an excellent fit. Small and flattened down, but comfortable in an average sized hand, and attractively designed to color-coordinate with the Surface magnesium case makes this mouse a winner. It's not a mouse for gamers, of course, but who really uses a Surface tablet for that! The fact that it is Bluetooth means it saves using the single USB port on the Surface and Surface Pro, too. Less expensive than the ingeniously designed Microsoft Surface Arc mouse, it is a good choice for the budget-minded.

      Pretty good mouse for the money

      This mouse is just the right size for my hand. (Note that this is not a later version of this mouse which has a lower profile.) Downsides: (1) The right mouse button is easily triggered by mistake. I've compensated for this by placing a rubber pad between the right mouse button and the shell. (2) The mouse is often finicky when pairing with a new computer; it can occasionally require turning Bluetooth on and then off again.
