It tends to go flat in 2 liter bottles. With these bottles I can split up the soda. The stoppers keep it fresh and well carbonated until I'm ready to drink it. Also I always have thought that soda tasted better and glass bottles anyway. I was very happy with this item as it included not only the bottles and stoppers but a cleaning brush and collapsible funnel.
