    Machete 5 stars, Sheath 1 star.

    The Machete is excellent as you would expect from Gerber and the Sheath looks rugged at first glance, however the belt loop is flimsy and too narrow for a military belt, pistol belt mounts would serve this Sheath better. I found it impossible to remove and replace the Machete with one hand, I am concerned the zip may not stand the test of time.

    Good quality blade and handle

    Have used it for cutting up kindling this year some it very hard wood and no chips or nicks in the blade and the rubberised handle helps reduce shocks etc through to your hands the sheath is of good quality as well.

    Crooked

    The blade was not straight - That's not a good start. Haven't tested it. Big blade looks impressive would have given a better score but if the blade is crooked when purchased you have to wonder about the quality.
