    Shot in 1987, this TV movie is set in the infamous jail known as Alcatraz. The jail was known for its reputation as an impenetrable island fortress that no one could escape from. Perhaps not surprisingly, that didn't stop people from trying. May 2, 1946 saw six inmates attempt to make their way out of the jail known as "The Rock," and this heady drama illustrates just how hard it was.         Good Sad Movie!

        I loved the action and ,of course, as always loved David Carradines' powerful acting! By the reviews I thought they would make it and because of the horrible way he really died when he was shot at the end it made me cry all over again! In spite of my realistic feelings of not wanting dangerous criminals at large in my community, especially when Tennessee Colony and a large prison system is only 39 miles from me, I was rooting for Byrney and company! Carradine was the exception to my rule!
