    Great value, completely bypasses old phone lines in house

    I've owned VTech phones before, and they performed excellently, with changes of the rechargeable batteries every few years and were still working fine after about 10 years. However, they used the old phone lines and jacks in the house, and we lost service for a couple of days whenever it rained, presumable because the phone lines got wet. The reason I bought this new set of 5 is to completely bypass old phone lines and jacks in the house. The main station plugs directly into the modem, which provides landline VOIP voice service over the internet using XFinity. The other four phones around the house only need to be plugged in at the base, and do not require any jacks or phone lines. The sound quality is fine and the layout of buttons is convenient.     Great features

    Still haven't figured out all the features. Sorta confusing . Finally got it to sync to cell after many failed attempts by selecting sync to headset. Then back to cell. Never went through smart call block set up. Too complicated and I didn't want to hand type directory. Has long battery life once fully charged. Ringer is very loud. Initial basic recorder is automated so you just listen and follow instructions. It's all the other stuff that you have to trIall and error with that were so time consuming to set up. But even with all the time it's a good deal.

    Dect Cordless phones

    These phones were easy to set-up and operate. Range is very good. While new, they did not come in the original packaging. But the price was much cheaper than can be purchased new through any other sources. Highly recommend.
