    Lightweight with many great features

    I'm 75 years young and have been sewing since I was 11 years old, so I have had and worn out several sewing machines. I'm a quilter, seamstress and crafter so a sewing machine is very important to me. I have had several different makes over the years, but have always had the best luck with Singer. They are the most dependable and very user friendly for the most part. This newest one is by far the best as it has many, many great features built in such as embroidery, many quilting stitches and easy to use buttonhole attachment. I just push buttons and the machine sets itself up, needle position and all. The only thing I have to do is thread it and start sewing. The self threading feature is my favorite for obvious reasons....age. The price was fantastic also, and since I live on a ...

    Singer 60

    I love it, simple to use and it sews great, I am a guy who like to sew things an I just made 6 throw pillows and sewed around a king size comforter and also made 4 pillow case covers to match the comforter.     Singer Sew Mate 5400 is SO GREAT!

    Beautiful machine, and a great value! Everything I'd hoped for! I especially appreciate the fact that it is self-threading. So easy to use! It came with an instructional DVD that gave me a crash course in how to get the best results right away. It is powerful enough to handle every home sewing project I will be doing. I've already used it to sew a heavy, winter-weight poncho, double thickness. It handled this with ease.

    EXCELLENT

    Beautiful machine! best I have sewn on in quite a while. I don't understand why other people, even in my family, want another maker than Singer when I believe Singer is the best! It is easy to thread and I had no problem filling and putting the bobbin in. I had to hunt to find this machine because it was not in the usual retail stores. One of the features that I especially wanted was one step buttonholes in different sizes. I've not gotten to use that feature as it but I am looking forward to being able to do that. There's no doubt in my mind that this is the best Singer I have ever had and I look forward to many years with it!

    Not what i expected

    I wanted a machine that would be able to sew through thick and thin fabric. One that is easy to use and figure out, but instead my first outfit consist of me changing the needle and the needle getting stucck in thick fabric.
