    Permatex 85420 do the job the first time

    I did the job well the first time! I used about 5 drops to make sure every is well covered. Buying a smaller quantity should be an option. I do not plan to drop my gas tanks in the near future and I do not know how to keep the product fresh for a long period of time. Very good stuff, I will recommend it to friends!

    Is Unstable in the Presence of Fuel.

    This product is claimed to be a really good sealant, even in the presence of fuel. In my case, the fuel is gasoline, and I have found the sealant to still be "runny" after a week when used as a sealant for the spout opening on my favorite gas can. I do not know how good this one is compared to others that claim to be good fuel-present sealants, but to me this one acts exactly like the silicone that I tried earlier.
