    Deceptively good tone!!!

    I was admittedly skeptical that I'd get a tone out of this thing that would be acceptable. Boy was I wrong! 4 gigs in the past 2 weeks with it in different venues and the compliments coming from our engineers have been quite positive. Running XLR out with a BBE882i in the loop, no amplification on stage. Engaged are the Fender and Plexi with moderate gain. Verb and short delay for width. Unreal how good it sounds FOH. People don't believe that it's all coming from that little piece of gear. I'm sold.

    Tech 21 Fly Rig 5 V2

    This unit was touted as an effects pedal that you can use in live performances and due to the size, a convenient solution. However, the unit creates way too much noise when activating the distortion / Gain/ boost features to use as a replacement of larger effects pedals or amp set ups. Disappointed to say the least.

    Tech 21 FlyRig 5 Small footprint,excellent effects. Tech 21 is really on to something here. I can see why this item would be very convenient for those on the go. This idea could possibly be expanded with a Fly Rig 6? (six effects)...Fly Rig 7? (seven effects) or....? Even with seven effects this unit would still be highly manageable and portable. But,it is only 5 effects. The 5 effects are thoughtfully voiced. I can't imagine anyone having a total dislike for this item. Each effect,either on it's own or in tandem are very usable,utilitarian with sonic clarity and provide a basic effect platform that should serve many musical situations

    Tech 21 new FlyRig-5 Version 2 is EXCELLENT!

    Tech 21 new FlyRig-5 Version 2 is excellent - better overall tone and controls/organization, on-board TUNER, XLR-Out, external pedals loop - all great features. I have used original Version 1 for years, works fine. New V2 is everything I need - my last amp!
