USE THEM !! They sound great on any bass and will sit well in any genre.

I love these strings !! I only ever used "Pinkies" on all of my guitars. When I went back to playing bass exclusively and saw "Pinkies" for bass it was a no doubter to buy them. ALL of my basses have them now. My Ric, Warlock, Dean and Fender Jazz. If they made them in double ball for my Steinberger I'd have them on that as well. Don't be dissuaded and think that they are too bright and that you can't get a smooth Motown like tone with them. They'll sit well in any genre.

  • No Comparison

The EB Super Slinkys have been my string of choice for many years. I made the mistake of trying the De. brand on the recommendation of a friend. Sorry De, the Super Slinkys have my business from now on, just no comparison in the quality of the sound. Keep up the great work Ernie.

  • Always served me well

Been using Slinky’s for over 25 years. Ten of those years were professional studio and stage work. Never had any issues with their products. These age well with toxicity of my hands when other brands don’t. Will forever be my go to strings.

  • 🎸 Get your "Slinky" on!!!

Of course the strings are well made and sound pretty good, but these are great as a backup. I keep them in my gig bag so if I break a string while practicing, I always have extras. For beginners, these strings are a perfect choice. Excellent quality and great price, I highly recommend this item! 👍

  • "THE string for dead-spots"

As you know, finding a bass completely free of dead spots is almost impossible. Some are forgiving, some not so much. Switched from D'Addarios to Ernie's 45-100's and found that these strings "ring" out the dead spots very nicely. The low E, being a 100 and the A being a 80 also enables you to turn up some bass for the higher strings without "Booming" out the A and E. The lows are much more even and focused and the strings' elasticity enable more vibration of string and less of neck. Makes my Schecter Diamond P Custom's neck pickup sound like a P when it didn't use to. Love them for all styles of playing.
