    The microphone I received was not an 8-pin like the listing said but I was able to switch connectors easily as I had spare 8-pin connectors in my kit. Microphone was in good shape and works fine. Arrived in good condition and on-time. Good ebay experience.

    I give a 4 out of five because of two reasons. First, in the description it says it was wired for an icom 8 pin. Which was an error in advertising description. No biggie. It was not like an older 636 that I had years ago. It's impedance was 200 ohms, which is different. Also no biggie. Tested on my microphone tester and sounded pretty good but it was a little low in audio. I opened it up and remove the baffle for the noise canceling, like I did with my other mic. Other than that, beautiful mic.

    I have one of these microphones that I have had for over 25 years and it still sounds amazing I would buy another one if anything happens to the 2 that I already have and use every day.

    Good Mic, Thin Cord

    So far the people on the other side say it sounds good and clear, had to increase the mic gain on the radio, the only con is that the cord could be better, to thin in my opinion.

    ASTATIC high quality microphones

    "With ASTATIC you will be the loudest and the clearest guy on a hf radio system". Every time you transmit with a ASTATIC microphone people will love that famous deep sound that these microphones are world famous for. Loudest and by far the clearest microphones in the world. If you arent sure , please buy one and you will be surprised how good these things really are.

    good buy

    Great mic considering the chinese junk out there. Only problem with this and others is the connection to cobra radios is not snug but sufficient, and after constant pulling on the cord the soldered joints can break. I run the wire under the radio so it pulls on the cord
