Good part. If you clean up the board first, it is a super easy part to install. Delivery could have been a month longer than it was. Thanks for the great service!!!

  • Works great - read my review for handy "HOW TO" guide!

Using PLA, I tried a variety of hole sizes and 5.50mm seems to work best. I press the inserts into the plastic part using the 3D printer's nozzle, pre-heated to the usual temperature and pressed down using the control panel on the printer itself. **MUCH** easier than using a soldering iron! These parts are 3.8mm long and 5.58mm in diameter. With a 5.5mm hole, the inserts are a little over-sized but that's good because it leaves plastic to ooze into the grooves on the outside of the insert. The end result is a strong fit. It would be nice if the manufacturer provided this kind of information to the buyer...but hey, I've done that for you!

  • Knurly Inserts

The bi-directional knurls make it essentially impossible to pull out once properly inserted. Plus, threads in plastic are a terrible idea. These are much much better.

  • Works better than the regular threaded inserts

The dimensions are exact and the griping force exceptional. Heated them into PLA and after cooling off I caught not pull out with out alot of force.

  • 3D Printing and need robust threads? BUY THIS.

Exactly what I needed. Far superior insert design to the cheaper ones.
