    A great portable way to enjoy Alexa capabilities

    I have an Echo, an Echo Show and have bought Taps for myself and family members. This Tap arrived quickly and appeared to be new with factory packaging. It was easy to set up and performs great. The Tap provides most of the same features as an Echo, but has the advantage of a built-in battery, which enables carrying it from room to room and even outside as long as you stay within WiFi range.

    Great speaker, but not totally Alexa capable!

    Surprisingly good sound for its size and price. However, it is not able to be made a part of the "Everywhere Group" in Alexa. That group can include Dots and Echos all you want and speaking a command to play music "everywhere" plays it on all the members of the group. Unfortunately, the Tap does not participate in the everywhere group, so commands to it about that group don't register and commands elsewhere to play the everywhere group won't play on the Tap because it is not able to be made a member of that group. This is a big indeficiency if you going to use Alexa to play music to different sets of speakers, like "Bedroom Group" or "daytime Group", etc. Tap cannot be made a member of any such group, so don't buy it for music everywhere purposes. It is essentially a portable stand ...

    Best Smart Speaker on the market

    I LOVE my Tap. The sound from the speaker can easily fill a large room and the portability lets me bring it from the 3rd fl to the basement, and even out into the yard ( your wifi strength may vary). Needed to press a button before the Tap will listen alleviates the fears of my more security conscious friends ( re paranoids) and I have the option to make it hands free if/when I want. I can't understand why this smart speaker isn't the best seller out of all of them. Amazon should never have discontinued it.
