      Excellent professional lavalier

      This has a wider frequency response than the Sony ECM-44, which is somewhat cheaper, and the noise floor is also slightly lower. For me the extra $$ is worth it - the ECM-77B delivers a very natural vocal quality with a slight lift around 5kHz to increase intelligibility and clarity. I have had two of these, both solid performers and reliable. Never tried ether the Trams or DPA, which I have no doubt are excellent performers with their own "sound", but you tend to stick with what you know that works well; and you also learn and understand how to work with what you have. I would definitely recommend the ECM77B to anyone starting out in serious sound recording.

      Great little mic for my YouTube Vids

      This mic was recommended to me from multiple sources, and I'm very happy with it. I needed a better solution for filming my YouTube Vids. I"m running it through an Audio Buddy Pre-amp, combined with a rhodes shotgun mic. The combo has improved my sound quality a thousand percent!
