    Great lens for street photography

    This is a great lens. Especially to buy used, if you get the Made In Philippines one it's from 2019 and later, and the quality is excellent. I do not have the 1.4 version and I've read several reviews -during my research- that this lens performs better in many cases. Worth researching and spending twice the money on the 1.4 version. Very sharp, and smooth. All metal construction, Weather Sealed, light, and even though it looks a little weird (the front element is 43mm while the mount is 50, so narrower on front than back) it performs beautifully. It's my walkaround lens for life. For lens hood, I recommend the HAOGE LH-X35, it's a square all metal lens hood, hooks via bayonet. Looks beautiful.

    Fuji X-mount 23 f2 Lens

    Size matters. And so does sharpness. But angle of view and "charm" matter most to me. 35 equivalent focal length is both compromise and sweet spot nicely placed between wide and "normal". 35 feels more normal to my eye. But it's this lens' charm- it's rendering of out-of-focus sure- and it's indescribable quality of capturing light. I just don't know what it is. All I know, is that what I preconceive of an image is possible with this lens.

    An Excellent Lens for Street Photography and Landscapes

    This semi-wide lens is light with a small profile, which means it's a perfect lens for street photography and landscapes. And because it has an f2.0 aperture, it works well under low-light conditions. Most important, it produces sharp images with excellent color rendition and contrast. Combine this lens with a medium telephoto zoom on a Fuji X body and you've got an easily portable outfit that will cover 80% of the picture-taking scenarios that you'll encounter.
