It allows crisp content viewing with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a maximum resolution of 1440x900. This resolution gives you more screen space for work or for play. With almost 1.3 million pixels total, the monitor resolution is less than Full HD 1080p but more than the typical 1280x1024 resolution featured on many previously released computer monitors. The monitor's thin-film transistor LCD with active-matrix technology reduces pixel "crosstalk." This means that adjacent pixels will no longer interfere with each other and ruin the image quality. The monitor also has a pixel pitch of 0.28 mm, which is the distance between each pixel on the screen. The LCD display is lit with a cold cathode fluorescent lamp edge-light system.The Dell E1909W LCD monitor has a 1000 to 1 contrast ratio, 16.7 million colors, and an 82% total color gamut, giving you a more vivid image and deeper blacks. Its anti-glare hard-coating technology prevents annoying reflections on the screen. The monitor's blazing fast five-millisecond response time lets you play games and watch videos with minimal ghosting and lag and offers a big improvement over slower monitors. With a generous viewing angle of 160 horizontal degrees to 160 vertical degrees, the image appears crisp and clear from many positions around the room.The Dell E1909W LCD monitor features both an analog VGA connection and a digital DVI-D connection. The DVI-D (HDCP) signal makes viewing various applications and windows on the screen a joy. With exceptional image quality and color uniformity, your high-definition games and videos will look great. The included Dell PowerNap software gives you the freedom to choose between dim or sleep options when the display is in screensaver mode.Easy customization with these accessories is possible with the front panel on-screen display (OSD) controls. They allow you to adjust brightness and contrast, access the main menu, and select the input source. A very functional pedestal supports the Dell E1909W LCD monitor with a mounting bracket for an optional Dell Soundbar. The stand gives you space in the back to route your cables and reduces clutter on your desk. You can also adjust the monitor 4 degrees forward and 21 degrees back for a more comfortable viewing angle. As a bonus, the monitor contains 100-mm VESA mounting holes on the back, so you can easily attach the hardware to the wall and save space in your office or home. It also comes with a Kensington security lock slot to prevent theft.With the monitor's plug-and-play capabilities, your computer will automatically detect and install the hardware.
