A mad doctor has created an obstacle course in his home to find the ultimate soldier in Micro Maniacs, a racing title starring eight offbeat characters. Featuring the same small-scale action found in the publisher's Micro Machines series, the game involves racing around 32 tracks on foot. Some courses require mechanical assistance, so expect to race jet skis around the bathtub or take a skateboard out on the half pipe.<br><br>Your micro man, woman, cyborg, or mutant will also have to contend with hazards like saw blades, knives, and treacherous drops. Characters are equipped with unique weapons to help them maintain or regain leads lost to the fleet of foot. The 3D tracks are designed to be unique, from the precarious knife-rimmed kitchen track to a darkroom complete with flashing cameras and rows of pictures hanging out to dry. You'll even race inside a cage as mice scurry in their Habitrails. <br><br>Codemasters has included an assortment of game types for players to gain the most from their racing experience. Aside from the two eight-player modes that are viewed on a single screen, there are also three single-player modes like Time Attack and the season-inspired Challenge mode that unlocks hidden tracks and characters. Multiplayer options let you compete directly against others or battle in teams.
