I don't really know how to describe it... it just feels less robust somehow, less sturdy. I feel less in control with this than with the 1/2" version! That said , it does a great job if you take your time. So... I wouldn't want to use this professionally day in day out, but for the hobbyist (which is its target market after all) it is perfect and very well priced - hence 5 stars. Oh, and good seller
