The vague note about needing a map update misled me into thinking it was a simple process. Tomtom no longer provides support in Australia, and the update was complicated. I mistakenly called the number provided. It was a private company that charged hundreds and installed malware on my laptop, requiring a third party to do additional repairs. Avoid this seller as they are dishonest.

TomTom no longer sell Sat Navs in Australia, and as such there is no support. Yes, you can download Australian Maps onto the device, but the seller needs to advise what TomTom App you need to download the maps, as the current apps do not support the Go520 (which I have found to be a very good unit, after using one for the past nine years.) I apologise for saying the seller was dishonest.
