      Easy to read , easy to use.

      It is easy to read and itis portable making it useful for more than just reading rainfall , IE: sprinkler patterns and output. I also think it will withstand cold/freezing better than cylindrical rain gauges.

      Easy read rain gauge

      Have this mounted on the deck and it is so easy to read. Just look out the window and can see how much rain has fallen. Much better than the old one I had previously. Had to get up close and personal to be able to see the amount of rain. The magnification makes it so much easier to see it from the window. It is approximately 6 feet from the gauge and it is clear to see and read. Easy to mount with a couple of small headed screws so you can take it off and dump and hang again.

      Great value for the price.

      I have purchased several of these in the past and they last for several years, which is all I expect from something sitting out in the sun and weather year round. The plastic eventually weakens with exposure to the sun, becomes very brittle, and starts clouding. Because this item lasts for several years, is easy to read no matter how rainy, and is priced such that purchasing a new one every few years Is no big deal. It is large enough to read easily and the graduated measurements do not fade. If you drop it on concrete it will break just as a much more expensive one will.

      Old time favorite

      I have used these for years. However, sometimes they get damaged due to freezing, etc. Wal-Mart used to stock them, however, they don't now. Thus I looked on line and was happy to see I could order them direct. A very good, easy to deal with rain guage

      Very good rain guage

      The only thing that would make me take back the 5 would be if the numbers fade too quickly from the sun. The large size is great which makes it easy to read. Very cleanly manufactured. Nice price.
