The corners and sides have an aluminum strip. So the box is not aluminum. Buyer beware. On the plus side the inside of the box is excellent. There's room for three and four gear cars. 60 in total. The slots are well cushioned for safe storage for years to come. The case has a very flimsy plastic handle. Again a disappointment. I'm very happy with the seller. And overall give a positive rating

I could store 60 cars in the old (30 slot) case with the cars on the side. With these new cases, I can store 60 cars in their own individual slot....no worry about cars rubbing and scratching each other. Surprised the height was the same, the length about 1/2" longer. VERY PLEASED. I will be buying more of these.
