    Highly recommended. Well researched, engrossing, well produced and presented.

    If you have family roots in Scotland, you'll find this documentary series engrossing as soon as the opening titles roll. Neil Oliver brings his usual high levels of quality to the presentation of Scottish social history, a history that has had an impact on the rest of the United Kingdom, Europe, and ultimately the world. Anyone interested in medieval history, culture, battle strategy, politics, etc will be pleased to watch this series; it is something that gives much food for thought, and is enjoyable watched many times over.
