I needed a different derailleur to accommodate the largest cog (36T). The RD-M591 is perfect for the job, in spite of a quoted max capacity of 34T. Yes, it is a 9-speed derailleur, but the pull ratio is the same as for Shimano 10-speed road gear. Note that the RD-M592 (shadow version) is not suitable for applications like mine. Shimano 10-speed mountain derailleurs have a different pull ratio, so also not suitable.
