I have an 84" wide drop down screen and the back of the projector is just 5" away from the screen! With its close proximity you will notice distortions in the image where there are straight lines (which happens rarely) if your screen is moving (like from AC or fan). I made a rack, because most hung down too low, and put image below my screen. Photo is in bright room - image is like watching LCD tv.
