      Excellent telephoto lens.

      This is a legendary lens. On par with the Canon 50mm f/1.2 L, 85mm f/1.2 L, 135mm f/2 L and 180mm f/3.5 macro L. The whole series is incredible and the 200mm f/2.8 II L is no exception.

      Specialty lens

      This is a great prime lens with use in multiple applications. It would be challenging for a novice photo hobbiest to not be frustrated due to missed shots. Two must have lenses: 2.8 34-70mm & 2.8 70-200mm. Hope that helps.

      Fantastic fast glass

      Razor sharp wide open at f/2.8. Smaller, lighter and easier to hand hold than any 70-200 2.8 zoom. Yet achieves the same stunning background separating bokeh. Build quality of this "L" lens is absolutely solid.

      ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!

      This lens is great for venues that don't allow for "longer" lenses, when they're mostly looking for the white lenses (like 70-200mm). This lens is as every bit as sharp as the other L lenses, but in a much smaller and lighter weight body.

      Very sharp fixed 200mm F 2.8 Lens, Had to clean the lens contacts to get autofocus running but all is good. Can't wait to try some night sky images with the lens.
