    Professional quality and weather resistant

    You can get great results from the RODE NTG3B but when used for voice it may be a bit bassey or boomy so you may need a high pass/low cut filter for best performance.

    Can't stretch the budget for a 416?

    Frikkin' awesome mic! If you have remorse that you cannot afford the 416, don't feel bad about getting this instead at all! Best cost/performance professional shotgun mic out there.
