    A True Classic

    This is one of the most engaging documentaries ever produced. Ken Burns' seminal work is as fresh and artful in 2017 as it was in 1990 when it first aired. It brings to life four years of American history in a way never presented before. I recommend it highly.

    Great coverage of the Civil War

    This is the most complete and entertaining presentation of the Civil War I have seen. The original photos paint a vivid image of this great American tragedy which the current generation wishes to ignore and erase from history. I would recommend this series to anyone who has an interest in history. It does not glorify this dark period or the participants but leaves you with the sense that we must never allow our country to repeat this tragedy.

    Ken Burns legacy series of the Civil War

    Anything Ken Burns touches turns to gold. I saw this series when it first came out years ago. This Anniversary edition is even better. Picture quality, more behind the camera insight. This should be required viewing to kids in school.

    An Engaging Look at the Civil War

    If you love American History....this is a very engaging look at the Civil War. The script, experts, stories, are all spot on. I saw this series back in the 1990's. It is something that I find I can watch over and over and over again and I am mesmerized every time I view it.
