This is fitted on the gearbox and if faulty will give low engine power To test just drive the car up an incline in 4th gear and move the gear stick back and forth - round and round (without knocking it out of gear) and see if the power power picks up. Please check with photo to make sure the part is correct. The Neutral Position Switch is as you look at the gearbox from the top, on the right hand side and screws into the side of the aperture on top of the gearbox where the gear levers come out. A failed switch will give low engine power, to check if you have a failed switch just drive the car up hill in 4th gear and move the gear stick back and forth - side to side (without knocking it out of gear) and see if you pick up power.
