All Canon EOS Rebels get my thumbs-up rating! This one, the Digital T3 is a little more complicated to use. I bought it used, without manual, so I'm having to wing it. Overall, great picture quality, added to a photo editing software program like PhotoShop, and together they make photos AWESOME! Built-in flash great, and I rarely used an external flash in general shooting. Love the Canon EOS Rebel family of cameras and lenses! Would be easier if I had the manual, but its fun to figure it out.
I knew that a manual was not included,, but it would have been nice. Still I'm having fun figuring it out. Battery was charged so I didn't have to wait for that to charge. Now that I've had a chance to use it. I noticed that there is a dead bug in the camera that I haven't been able to get out yet. I also find that the manual focus doesn't work but the auto focus does so not really a problem. Just wish that people would be honest in there description were more accurate and they tell the truth. I might not have bought this camera if they had said that there was a dead bug stuck inside the main body of the camera, and that the manual focus doesn't work. Don't like that people can tell the truth when they sell an item on eBay. With tath in mind. I still happy with my camera and hope that I can get the dead bug out of it.

Excellent camera for many different applications
This is one of the Canon EOS cameras that has stood the test of time with intuitive controls and great handling. Both lenses are crisp and clear with no visable dist or signs of mold. Originally planned as a second field camera, this ststem my well be used with microscopy with the proper adapter. Great versitility in a digital camera. So I brought this camera to help my ETSY store take better photos of my listings. Well just "listing shoots" turned into family portraits, friends asking me to take pics and me enlisting in classes to learn more about this awesome camera. It is a very easy -to-learn type camera. Great for the beginner.
After much research and working with a budget I found this to be a great all around camera, I even bought a telephoto lens. The condition was like new and came with the original box and software. If there any cons at all I would say it doesn’t shoot in monochrome but that not really a con also the screen doesn’t tilt out nor does the camera show what’s being seen through the lens to the screen, but real photography is seen thru the view finder.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Lightweight and easy to use
This camera is surprisingly light in weight! It is also very easy to use, and is surprisingly fast to focus and take pictures, even when using Live View. I really like the large and clear LCD display and the menu. The buttons seem simple to use and are well-positioned, although I don't know how to best use them yet. The menu seems easy to use but I don't understand all of it yet. I have purchased the Canon EOS Rebel T3/1100D Digital Field Guide by Charlotte K. Lowrie to learn how to operate the camera. Good quality camera for new photographer
Great camera, does what I wanted it to. However it arrived smelling strongly of cigarette smoke and still smells like smoke after a month of being aired out. The smell makes me nauseous which is unfortunate since I have to put the camera to my face, and I had to open it up and clean dust and probably tar out of all the crevices.
