The PlayStation console is first and foremost a gaming system, but it can also be used to watch multimedia. The Sony PlayStation 3 Slim was engineered to be portable. It measures 13.4 inches wide, 6.3 inches deep, and 13.4 inches high, and it weighs approximately 7 pounds. Its attractive black matte finish blends with any décor if you’d prefer to keep your PlayStation 3 Slim permanently in your home. The PlayStation 3 Slim uses a 45nm processor that’s just as fast as the 60nm processor in older PS3 models but far more energy-efficient. The device comes with a 320GB hard drive, so you’ll have plenty of room to store photos, music, movies, and other multimedia. If that’s not enough storage space, it’s easy to swap out your 320GB drive for something larger. The drive is on the front of the console, and you can remove it simply by unscrewing two screws. Touch-sensitive pushbuttons have replaced the unit's master power switch and eject button. The system only takes 20 seconds to boot up completely. The Sony PlayStation’s power supply and cooling mechanism have been incorporated within the console itself, so the fan makes a lot less noise. An Ethernet jack and outlets for HDMI, optical digital audio output, and proprietary PlayStation AV output are on the back of the console. The Sony PlayStation 3 Slim has the same first-rate gaming capabilities that made you fall in love with PlayStations in the first place. Use your PlayStation 3 with a Bluetooth DualShock 3 for single player or multiplayer games. This PS3 is Internet-enabled, so you can even go online to play with gamers from around the globe. You can also surf the Internet with the unit's built-in web browser. Supporting Dolby Digital 5.1, the PlayStation 3 Slim is also a great machine for playing DVDs or streaming your favorite titles from Netflix. The unit supports disc-based media as well as MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4/h.264 video files through the USB port. You can play Blu-ray titles too by using an HMDI cable.

Hdmi has issues and the ps3 froze when entering psn details, added to the fact, when the hdmi did work, it only output at 480p when my tv can go up to 4k (i get that the max on ps3 is 1080, but it couldnt even go that far) tried multiple hdmi and none of them gave me a solid result (they work fine for a pc, ps5, even nintendo switch setup, i even have a japanese original model ps3 and that works better than this)

Still really fun, better than PlayStation now
I got this for multiple reasons I wanted to play some older games that weren’t on PlayStation now I did look to see if they were available. So only other way was to buy a PlayStation 3 the work they did on the refurbishing was great. Only thing is to get used to the old home screen.

So glad to find a new PS3 because mind broke for the third time over two years ago. With many games on backlog plus my children and I played so much Little Big Planet together as they were growing up, I sure missed it! There are some great games that are only on the PS3 that you can't play anywhere else. It was quite the experience!

PlayStation arrived broken
PlayStation 3 refurbished, arrived with bad power supply, would turn on for a single second and then then off immediately, will not stay on. Thank goodness I purchased a protection plan, will have to see how it works, because it only “activates” I month after purchase.
