The black Canon camera body allows users to create ideal shots by using several different features. Photos can easily be viewed on the LCD screen located on the back of the Canon EOS 1000D/Rebel XS camera. The settings display on the 10.1 MP digital SLR camera notify the user of how many shots are left, battery usage, exposure level, and shooting modes. The optical viewfinder on the on the Canon camera body makes it easier to view smaller images. The SD card slot allows the user to transport photos off the Canon EOS 1000D/Rebel XS onto a memory card to free up more space. The pop-up flash feature on the 10.1 MP camera makes it easier to capture shots in dark areas. The user can make pictures his or her own by choosing from different picture styles on the Canon camera body. This gives each picture a more profession quality. Great buy Great product
This is an excellent entry level camera to the world of DSLR digital photography lightweight with many features found on more expensive cameras. With the choice of LCD screen viewing or using the viewfinder image quality is superb. Fully automatic mode will produce quality images and prints whilst learning and practicing with the array of other manual settings. The interchangeable lenses available snap on and off with ease,camera build is sturdy,solid and well made with the quality expected fron Cannon. Fitted with the battery pack changing from landscape to portrait view is so easy using the buttons on the pack rather than fiddling with the camera settings. Battery life is relatively good but does as to be expected drain the 6 AA battery pack having said that the AA's still retain a good charge after photo sesions. A standard rechargeable battery is also included and holds a good charge. There are a multitude of interchangeable lenses available further enhancing the versatility of this great camera. Video is not available on this model but the quality of the images well makes up for this. The camera uses standard SD cards. Brilliant product!
Wanted to review the product after I'd taken it into the studio. So far had two very successful shoots with this camera. You do need a bit of no how to operate it
I use this Canon EOS 1000D to take photo's of my garden plants to keep a record of what's what. It has presets for Landscape, portrate, action etc but all so is fully automatic with auto focus. For a 1st dslr HIGHLEY RECOMMENDED
