I have been using this type of filter for several years to filter my well water with good results. I started out with genuine Whirlpool filters that I used to purchase from Lowes .When the price got to be too expensive I found these compatible filters on Ebay and decided to give them a try. I have been using them for three years now and I am very satisfied with them. They preform as well as the Whirlpool filters and the price is quite a bit less. filters hole size to small & get mashed during tighting so u get improperly sealed filter also total height varies from 1/4 to 3/8"

Finally installed one, was concerned at first they would be a problem as they are a little longer. Had to tighten the GE canister more than usual to stop leaking.
