You need to be prepared to spend considerable time getting them into the shape needed to work well.
I was pretty disappointed in this set of chisels. The backs were not flat so I had to spend a considerable amount of time working on them. In addition the chisel edges themselves needed a bunch of work. The left edge of each blade looked as if it had not been sharpened at all and had a large burr on it. I think these will be good chisels but I was disappointed in the condition out of the box.
