I still love old film cameras
This camera body was the original partner for my M42 screw-on SMC Asahi Pentax Takumar lens collection. This copy of the Spotmatic F is in great shape and only needs a new set of seals to go around the loading door. It will be enjoyed for 'hopefully' many years to come. I am yet to finish my testing rolls of film, but thus far, it's an amazing experience, the takumar lenses are extremely satisfying to work with as well as the camera. Birthday gift

Last and probably best Spotmatic
This is the last Spotmatic made by Asahi. Having used the whole range of Spotmatics as a professional photographer, I can say without doubt this is the very best variant. It is the only Spotmatic that does full aperture metering. On top it is very accurate. Use it with one of the SMC Takumars (I love the 50mm 1.4 after UV fix) and you get a great 135 camera. On the non-M42 side, I use the MX and the LX in small format and am more then happy... I still use my best lenses with the K-1 as well. Some things get better with age.

excellent condition
all mechanic system is fine. mirror shock absorb is old and degenerate but that's no problem, it's just make shutter's sound a little bit loud and hard. I don't know the light meter is accurate or not, because I use 1.5v battery instead of 1.35 mercury, and use the Sunny-16 rule to check it and I found it's over exposure around 1.5-2 stops. it's no problem to set ASA to make light compensation. This is the best Spotmatic built by Pentax
After many years of using every Pentax camera, I realized the best cameras were the Spotmatics, so I got the Spotmatic and the SPotmatic F. Both have metering.
