Big Short a Big Deal
an exploratory creative attempt to explain the USA's financial meltdown 2007-08 which cost the country trillions and spiraled hundreds of thousands into poverty. The surreality of real life at that time in the financial world is depicted brilliantly, key figures are portrayed with a mix of sympathy and accusation. there are a couple of almost pythonesque narrative flips / 4th wall breaks to explain the more complex bones of banking at the time,and enable a lay person to understand what actually went on, and how it happened.
