POWERFUL sound quality for music & video...big bass and big treble!
My review is based on sound quality for music & video only not any of the other bluetooth features of this headphone. Wow...powerful sound...big bass and much treble. Sounds like big speakers. This headphone is incredible! Perfect for listening to music & video. This headphone surely delivers sound as good or better than Beats headphones or more expensive headphones. Don't spend all that money on those other overpriced headphones -- this one is just as good so give this one a try. I'm a serious audiophile that demands the best sounding audio and I must say this headphone delivers! I rate it 4 stars for sound quality for music & video only because I don't use the other bluetooth features of this headphone so I can't give full ratings for all of its bluetooth features. Hope my review is somewhat helpful.

A solid performer
The Philips SHB5500BK wireless bluetooth headphones are a good value with a number of positive characteristics. They are easy to set-up, comfortable, and have good sound for their price range. Further, they have outstanding range, with the bluetooth connection producing clear, uninterrupted sound for approximately 100 feet. A person can connect to your laptop upstairs and roam the house and even much of the yard without experiencing any issues. I have not had them long enough to tell how well the rechargeable battery will hold up, but the charge currently lasts well and the charging process is simple and effective. The charging cable plugs into the headphones and a USB port. Though the non-USB plug looks much like common phone plugs, I suspect it is unique. Thus, losing the charging cable might be an issue. Honestly, I don't have any quibbles with these headphones at all--I am terribly pleased with them. Since Grado does not make a $100 bluetooth set, I think the Philips are one of the best choices out there. It is typical, these days, to have ultra-sparse instructions, assuming the buyer will google the manual or more detail if desired. That is true with these headphones too, and I did a quick search to find out what blue lights vs. white lights meant ( 50% charge vs. 50%). The Philips SHB5500's are so easy to use, however, there is not much to look up. In sum, these are lightweight, well-performing headphones that should please most prospective users.
