The Seagate Constellation ES 3.1TB internal hard disk drive offers a massive storage capacity paired with a fast data processing capabilities. Its multi-drive firmware is maximized for enterprise system availability. This product is compatible with nearly all Windows-based computers. With a spindle speed of 7200 RPMs, the Seagate Constellation acts efficiently to respond to programs and open files. The 7200 RPM rate allows it to perform Enterprise update and restore functions. This helps to keep your network and e-commerce platform operating at their maximum capacities.This form factor hard drive also has cache buffer of 64MB. This allows the ST33000650SS to rapidly access anything that you need. These drives feature data transfer speeds of up to 600 MB/s. They have a built-in capacity for cloud uploads and stored area networks. You can also use these SSD units for direct-attached and network-attached storing functions. These SATA drives have a maximum sustained transfer rate of 155 MB/s, all coursing through a 6.0 Gbps SAS connection.     Cheap refurbished storage. So far so good

    There isn't cheaper storage really, and so far they have been reliable. The only thing of note is they are much louder than I expected, and being mounted in the case makes it unbearable for home use (The server I'm building is in the living room). Using some rubber bands and loosening the mounting screws on the drives I was able to bring the noise to very acceptable levels. It should be noted that I was using a cheap case. Overall these are great drives for those looking to get started with a home server as a beginner looking to save some money.
