    Image stabilization questionable

I bought this to replace an older powershot IS with 12 megapixels and a 6x zoom. That camera was excellent although I always wanted a little more zoom. The image stabilization on that camera was excellent, and one reason why I stayed with the canon product. This camera however... the stabilization is questionable at best. I did read a review that had this exact comment, but I bought it anyway. I hope it is just something I will get used to. The beauty of Digital cameras is you can just keep taking them til you get a good one and delete the bad ones. Remember when you paid to see how bad they were on film...

Don't buy one that uses AA batteries

Had I known it used AA batteries I would not have bought it. Even using the more expensive chargeable ones they only last a couple of hours and maybe 200 photos. Plus I had to go buy a battery charger. I basically bought four batteries so that I can constantly swap them out on the charger.

  • Great camera for the price.

I lost my previous camera and bought this one to replace it. It takes great pictures, easy to use and absolutely love the grid lines in the view finder - makes it so easy to select the zoom and center what you want to take a picture of. I know the cell phones have cameras built in, but the quality of the pictures and the ability to adjust the zoom makes it worthwhile to carry both to special events.

  • Canon Cameras

The Canon line is well worth their price range for the quality of pictures they produce. The only [minor] negative about them is the consumption battery power that the camera drains. Pays to have spare back up (2 AA ) batteries on hand when using the camera for extended periods of shooting. Best results is with a pair of the NiCad RECHARGEABLE AA batteries [ with a CHARGER ] to keep down the cost of HAVING TO REPLACE STANDARD AA batteries.

  • I love this camera!

I love this little camera. I borrowed the exact camera from a friend and when I saw it on ebay I had to have it. I used it today for the first time and was very excited and can't wait to get the photos processed. It takes great pictures.

  • A used purchase - what have I done?

Initially very disappointed with image quality and white balance etc. As soon as I returned the camera to "factory settings" it functioned very nicely for an old model, and still does.

  • Replacement Camera

I bought this same camera new a few years ago. On a recent visit to the Louvre in Paris, it slipped out of my hand and fell to the floor and would no longer function. I liked the Camera so much I was pleased to find it on Ebay and replace my lost friend. Truly a great Camera, easy to use and so friendly. I love the removable memory, take it to Costco and make lots of prints and DVD's. Good technology and the best quality prints no matter what light you have to deal with. Yes, I know there are lots of SLR Cameras out there, but for the price, you can't beat the Canon PowerShot SX150.

  • Great, compact, easy, excellent photos

This is a great, fun and easy camera and takes fabulous photographs without having to carry around a box of accessories. This is my second camera like this and in-between I had a canon Rebel - I love this one more. It seems to do as much, and so much easier and less complicated unless you're trying to professional magazine-cover type photos. I highly recommend for "everyday" photographing, you can carry it around so easy, it does a great job! Thumbs up.

  • Great small feature-laden camera

This is an excellent moderate camera for all-around quick picture taking. It's small yet powerful, so it makes an ideal vacation or on the spot camera. It has a 3" LCD display only, 14.2 MP lens, pop-up flash, and 12 power zoom. Buy this camera if you find one in good condition!

  • Great Product, Happy To Own This.

This is an old camera. Many more qualified people have reviewed this camera in years past. I bought it to compliment my cell phone which has equal or better "specs" but is clumsier to use. This camera uses ordinary batteries and is quick to get up-to-speed, unlike the cell phone. The camera does what it does far better than the multi-purpose cell phone does any of the things it does.
